The included Hi-hat also has a bit of the stick tip sound in the closed Hi-hat hit, when going on the more open hits and pedal the Hi-hat rings perfectly.

#TOONTRACK EZX2 REGGAE SKIN#
The Toms is spot on, they have a nice full sound that I rely like, and on the harder velocity hits I can nearly hear the tips hit the skin on the drums. The Black beauty 5×14” has allot of potential and sounds great even with no tweaks done. The kick has a somewhat light plastic sound and shines in the higher frequencies, it was not fully my cup of tea no mater what flavor (open, DPA) I used but that is a very personal feeling. I load the Default kit that is based around the PB Drum Co kit, and start testing things out. The Music City USA SDX is based around the two kits PB Drum Co and Slingerland.Īs you can tell from the list above there are is a nice list of extras included especially on the snare side. Sadly Toontrack like many others stick with 3 Toms in the setup, I have said it before and I will say it again… FOUR gives more options. Hi-hat and 4 slots Cymbals, Rides and China. The Drum kit layout on Music City USA is a basic drum setup of 1 kick, 1 Snare, 3 Toms, 1 The GUI of superior drummer is the same no matter what SDX you load, the differences is the amount of drum pieces you can use by default. Music City USA a.k.a Nashville is one of the towns I dream of seeing one day, as a musician I feel that country has always had a special heart in the songs and sound. This is how Toontrack introduces the Music City USA SDX,

Oh yeah… they’re good for country & rock too! With the city’s history & culture so steeped in the art of making and recording music, the team could think of no better place on earth to record a library of drums that would be at home in music ranging from rock to reggae, metal to gospel or punk to polka. With more labels, publishers, writers, producers, musicians and artists per capita than any other city in North America, Nashville knows a thing or two about great music, and more importantly – great sounding music. Like it, love it or leave it, Nashville Tennessee is Music City USA. This time we will have a look at the Toontrack Music City USA SDX.īefore I go on I would like to thank Toontrack for making this review possible.
